is a group of AA members who volunteer their
time for the purpose of carrying the message of
recovery from the disease of alcoholism into the
Corrections and Treatment facilities of Broward
The Broward County Institutions Committee
focuses on the process of "one drunk, talking to
another" as the most effective means of carrying
the AA message."
BCIC takes A.A. meetings into 44 Treatment
facilities and 10 Correction facilities, at the
present time. 145 meetings per week requires 290
members to alternate from week to week so that
each person is doing a meeting twice a month.
The names and addresses of the 54 facilities are
published on a monthly basis.
